I still don’t know what to do with this. I don’t want to say I hated it, but I didn’t love it either. I am not saying I don’t like Audrey, I just don’t see the humor in what she has submitted. I thought this felt at least more scripted than some of the other things I have seen by Audrey. I can’t tell if you are mocking Brittany because you hate her or if you are making a comment on how we as a society are obsessed with her and are ruining her life. I’d like to think you put that sort of thought into this and didn’t just put on a wig and go outside and “wing it”. I think you have potential as a very funny character actor. Your physicality and facial expressions lend them selves to comedy and I honestly think that if you worked with stronger writers and a director, your ideas would be communicated better. Right now this seems chaotic and not written. If you are doing improv, then understand that good improv is more than spewing whatever you want out of your mouth, its about elevating the situation that you are in as many times as you can (that’s one part of good improv, there are many more). Think about it like this. You go and see a dancer and all he does is point his toe over and over again. Think how much better the dance would be if he pointed the other toe or did a turn. Suddenly it’s more interesting to watch. This doesn’t mean he is a bad dancer or that he is the best dancer in the world. If he wants to dance, he has to be open to learning new steps. I would like to comment on the insane comments made about Audrey’s work. Please understand that constructive criticism is not the same thing as “playa hating” or “hating on” anyone. It’s what big boys and girls do to become better at what they love. Audrey, I applaud you for continuously creating and I encourage you to try and continuously grow.
THE GOOD Audrey is clearly very committed to her performance. It’s impressive that she’s brought so much conviction to the role – conviction like that is an important part of any comedy performance. THE BAD There are no jokes or humor in the video. It’s just five minutes of yelling.
THE GOOD Audrey sure has plenty of chutzpah. I applaud her energy and commitment. THE BAD Chutzpah all by itself doesn’t cut it. You need an idea. Now if Audrey had shaved her own head, that would’ve been commitment. THE UGLY After a minute a friend of mine begged me to shut it off. If you really want to drive people crazy, download the soundtrack as your cell phone ring.
@ mishy I wasn't actually insulting bad grammar. in fact, the grammar was right on. I was merely pointing out that the "if" implied that Audrey might still have made it to round 3. Silly hope. The grammar part was a joke. Oh, and I'm Jewish.

I got a little teary eyed. I think there is some shakespearean drama in audrey. Mixed with the craziness, that is inside of us all, even Britney.
Audrey - I think you CAN be funny. You should practice writing and individual story lines, maybe character devlelopment. Good luck in the future & don't let anybody ever discourage you from following your dream.

Grannvok, Ok, just for kicks, I watched the other Audrey Noland videos. I have to say, it was the biggest waste of my time. I want those minutes of my life back. Please know that when I make a comment on something, I definately check the entire thing. I wasn't wowed or moved, and I didnt even laugh. I'm sorry I even watched those videos. If anyone watches them and laughs, they must be laughing at how "not funny" it is, or appreciated it's "pathetic-ness" if you will. What you said to me is that you have to take awhile to take to Audrey. See, when you say that, (AND THIS GOES FOR THE REST OF YOU LOVERS) is that she's above the rules and above the game. It doesnt work like that, especially in her case. The only way to be above the game is to actually have talent and innovation. She has neither. All she has is persistence, which is half the battle, but not enough to be considered talented and gifted. I could do what she did. To be above the game, you have to actaully do something that no one else can do. Any idiot or retard can do what Audrey did. Not many people can do what BaconShake, or Above The Machine, or The Acropolis, or even Kent did. To all of you lovers, This bullshit about she's great, or that she's not anyone that has to be funny to be funny or to entertain just to entertain, this is just an attempt to put a positive spin on something that's bad. I'm sorry but entertainers today dont get the luxury of letting the audience take awhile to get used to them. This will be my last post, and I hope that all of you wake up someday. Sorry to ruin the dream.
