Board of Directors - Daniel Canel

Daniel Canel is the Chairman of JumpTV International for Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as a Partner at Bulltick Capital Markets, LLC, an international diversified financial services firm with offices in the US, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.

JumpTV is the world's leading broadcaster of ethnic television over the Internet. Prior to his current position, Canel was president of Sports International Group LLC, a company that produces and distributes multimedia sports content in Spanish, and was the owner of Sportsya.com, a leading and highly recognized portal focused on delivering original multimedia sports content for the US and Latin American Hispanic communities. Daniel joined the executive team of JumpTV after the company's acquisition of Sports International Group in early 2007.

Prior to the purchase of Sports International Group and the Sportsya brand, Daniel was a founder, as well as President and COO, of Patagon, the first international online bank. Patagon was a pioneer in Internet banking and had more than 750 employees in 9 cities in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe. In 2000, Patagon sold 75% of its outstanding stock to Banco Santander Central Hispano in a transaction valued at US $745 million. It is considered one of the most important transactions during the Internet boom of the late 1990s.

Daniel is a Wall Street veteran with ample experience in Investment Banking. He has been a leading advisor and independent consultant for government investments and banking, private corporations, and financial institutions in the emerging markets of Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Daniel has also held senior positions at leading global financial institutions, including UBS Warburg and Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) where he was COO and VP, Emerging Markets.
