Leonard Elmore

Leonard Elmore is an American sportscaster and former National Basketball Association player. In the fall of 2007, Len began his 19th year as a basketball analyst, having served as a college basketball analyst for ESPN for over eight years and in the same capacity for CBS Sports' coverage of the NCAA Tournament. He also currently covers the NBA for ESPN/ABC Sports.

Len is an eight-year veteran of the NBA having played for the Indiana Pacers, Kansas City Kings (presently Sacramento Kings), Milwaukee Bucks, New Jersey Nets, and New York Knicks, and he also played two seasons with the Pacers when they were in the ABA. He graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 1974 where he was a three-time All-ACC player and an All-American in 1974.

Len Elmore is currently Senior Counsel in the Entertainment, Media and Sports Group of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae in their New York City office. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1987 and is believed to be the first (and only) National Basketball Association player to graduate from that institution upon retirement from professional basketball. He is admitted to the New York State bar.

Mr. Elmore is a noted authority on sports and sports law issues and has had articles published on a variety of issues in sports and society. Len has appeared on many network and cable television news and sports programs and has written numerous articles and commentaries for a diverse group of media outlets including National Public Radio, the Knight Ridder News Service, The Sports Business Journal and ESPN.Com.

Currently, Len is the president of the National Basketball Retired Players Association, a member of the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics, a Director on the Board of 1 800 Flowers.com and member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Maryland.
