DJ IRIE

Dominating any venue and infusing every party with his seemingly infinite energy, DJ Irie has captivated the entire industry.  Nominated for a 2007 BET Award and voted 2005’s Best Club DJ by the Miami New Times, Irie's passion, enthusiasm and particularly charming personality sets him apart.  Although Miami is his stomping ground, on the national level DJ Irie is impossible to miss.  As official DJ to Jamie Foxx and the 2006 NBA World Champion Miami HEAT, and performances at MTV’s Total Request Live, the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards and the Halftime show at the Orange Bowl for three consecutive years, DJ Irie knows no boundaries.

For DJ Irie, music and sports also seem to go hand in hand. As the official DJ of the 2006 NBA World Champions Miami HEAT, Irie is known in the American Airlines Arena by fans and players alike, for his immeasurable enthusiasm and ability to play the beats that get fans out of their seats. His energy is contagious, and for the eighth season in a row, Irie is steadily playing his position keeping the HEAT on fire

DJ Irie has been featured in USA Today, Us Weekly, Playboy Magazine, ESPN the Magazine, Ocean Drive and teamed up with adidas to launch the DJ Irie EQT B-Ball shoe.  



 


Charles "CZA" Sweet II
CZA graduated from the University of North Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication and set off into the field of urban journalism. He began his foray by writing freelance for publications like the Dallas Observer, Ballerstatus and Electronic Beat magazine before accepting a staff writer position with the nationally distributed Basic Magazine. In it, he interviewed several of music’s hottest including Ice Cube, Yung Joc and more.

After two years of tenure, CZA moved to Los Angeles in order to further his career as a journalist and personality. It was then that he began penning The Monday Polly, the internationally syndicated column that addresses issues and concerns relevant to the hip hop community and audience.

Currently he is involved in several projects including film scoring, music production and hip hop activism. He is also in the works for turning his critically acclaimed column The Monday Polly into radio and television broadcasts as well as producing a new avenue for artists to exposure, The Ganglion. In a recent interview CZA summed it up perfectly: “There’s a division between what happens on-air and off the screen that most aren’t aware of. I’m trying to be… that bridge between both worlds.”
